Frequently Asked Questions

Where's the album?

The album will be released when all the songs are finished.  But rather than making you wait, I thought it would be fun to share the songs with you one at a time as the album is created. This way, I can find out what pleople like and don’t like. Hopefully, it’s a good way to grow an album and an audience at the same time.

When will the album be released?

Singles have been rolling out for months. The album with be available as soon as the last song is finished . . . probably in late 2015.

Why are you making an album now?

After composing music for TV shows and jingles for a long time, I want to share songs that don’t fit in a 30 second commercial. Plus, I have always wanted to be a singer.

When will the next song be released?

New songs will be released about once a month or so. If you want to be alerted as soon new songs are released, you can subscribe to the newsletter. You’ll get a free song download when you subscribe!

Where can I download your songs?

As each song is released, you will be able to download them on iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, Spotify, Facebook, the new Apple Music, and more than 70 other online stores.

What instruments to you play?

I started taking drum lessons when I was 7 years old. After that, I picked up the guitar, piano and other instruments. I don’t play brass or reeds, but modern digital sampling makes it possible play just about anything. I especially love instruments you don’t hear everyday like Native American flute, banjo, mandolin and the magic slide (I’ll explain in an upcoming song and video).

What is that cool instrument that looks like a big mandolin with a banjo neck?

That is an octave mandolin.  It is very similar to a regular mandolin, but with a long neck like a banjo.  It is tuned one octave deeper than a regular mandolin. Like all my stringed instruments, It is tuned very weirdly. more about that in an upcoming video.

Who is in your band?

Sadly there is no band. It’s just me. I usually work in my studio late at night after everyone is fast asleep.
